Thie Optometrists was started by William Thie in 1962. Thie Optometrists are an independent optometry practice with two convenient locations in Hemel Hempstead – Bridge Street in Hemel Hempstead town centre (our main practice) & Stoneycroft Shopping Centre in Warners End, Hemel Hempstead.
Thie Optometrist was established in Hemel Hempstead in 1962 by Mr William Thie; Alan & Felicity Welchman became partners with Mr Thie until he retired in 1989.
The practice has been growing since and now operates one store in Hemel Hempstead town centre and another at Stoneycroft Shops. Alan and Felicity ran the business until it was sold in December 2014 to Mr Hemani.
Alan Welchman has stayed with the business but Felicity has now retired and enjoying all her hobbies.
Thie Optometrists offer a wealth of professional knowledge having retained their original members of staff for over 30 years, helping us maintain our outstanding reputation for providing high quality customer service.
All Thie Optometrists’ patients have the knowledge that their requirements are being catered for professionally and with due-care everytime they visit any of our opticians in Hemel Hempstead.
Over the years, Thie Optometrists have maintained a professional & cordial relationship with the local hospital, GP’s & Eye Clinics in an around Hemel Hempstead and beyond.
Continuing our investment in technology, training and products, Thie Optometrists offers a wide range of glasses in with various styles and brands to suit all age groups as well as budgets. We also are qualified to prescribe and supply a range of lenses including hard and soft contact lenses in additional to coloured contact lenses for cosmetic effect.
